veterinarian. Pet Emergency and Specialty Center is looking for an
Emergency Veterinarian to join us as part of the Thrive Pet
Healthcare community.As an Emergency Veterinarian, you'll have

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
required
- State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for
the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start
date.

credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL range starting at
$190,000-$220,000 / year. The salary offered will carefully
consider a wide range of factors, including your skills,

feel empowered.Emergency & Critical Care Department HeadIn addition
to the duties entrusted to an Associate veterinarian, the Emergency
& Critical Care Department Head is responsible for the following:
- Work to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the
Emergency & Critical Care Department to provide optimal patient
care and client service.
- Work with the leadership team, critical care specialist(s),
clinicians, and ER staff to provide a positive and supportive
working environment.
- Troubleshoot organizational and interpersonal issues within the
department. Seek assistance from the Hospital Administrator or
People Operations department as needed to facilitate a
resolution.
- Assist in the implementation of the ER Academy or
reintroduction of internship program to the hospital.
- Assist in the interview, hiring, and onboarding process of
emergency clinicians, interns and/or ER Academy applicants.
- Manage the emergency clinician's schedule.
- Work with the Medical Director and hospital
administrator/practice manager to help cover shifts if an Emergency
Clinician is unable to work a shift.
- Ensure that the clinicians and medical team within the
department are maintaining medical records in compliance with
Pathway standards.
- With the assistance of the Medical Director and Leadership
Team, develop forms, templates, and tools necessary for the
department to achieve operational efficiency.
- Aid Medical Director and criticalist(s) in the creation of
medical standards and protocols.
- Liaison with the Medical Director, critical care specialist(s),
and the Pathway National Medical Emergency & Critical Care
Specialty Director to ensure that the highest medical standards are
achieved.
- Liaison with the referring veterinarian community to ensure a
high level of client and rDVM satisfaction with the services
provided by the Emergency & Critical Care Department.
- Interface with the inventory manager, lead technicians, doctor
staff, and other personnel to troubleshoot department logistics
(i.e. inventory stock, equipment maintenance, scheduling,
etc).
- Assist in researching and resolving client complaints and work
to solve client service issues when they arise on a shift.
- Interface with the tech leads/Emergency Department Service
Technician Manager for the department for technician staffing
needs.
- Help design and participate in the training programs for
technicians, interns, externs, and ER DVM's.
- Coordinate with other Department Leads and Specialists to best
facilitate interdepartmental collaboration.
- Perform other duties as necessary to promote the growth and
success of the Emergency & Critical Care Department and the Pet
Emergency & Specialty Center.Time commitment: Expected 2-3
hours/week on average. Compensation: $10,000/yr paid out
biweekly.
