Job Description:
Working under general guidelines, the Software Architect leads
the design and development of software systems and applications.
Focuses at a platform level, takes a wholistic view, understands
current trends/conditions, and brings best practices.
Exercises scope of influence over 1-2 platforms, shows technical
leadership on a development team, and are competent to work on
virtually all phases of application development. In partnership
with partners/product owners, gathers information, analyzes needs,
and guides clients to determine feasibility and functionality of
client requests.
Primary Responsibilities (.NET):
Establish technical understanding of existing ASP .net
applications.
Troubleshoot a variety of complex issues and identify solutions for
application or operational problems in support of daily
processing.
Design, code, unit and integration test, debug and document
technical solutions.
Collaborate with technology leads and other developers to deliver
effective software solutions.
Create appropriate documentation (process flows, class diagrams,
technical specs, unit test cases) as directed by project technical
leads.
Model practices that ensure application systems are developed
complying with architectural standards and established
methodologies.
Provide feedback on project status, identifying issues that inhibit
the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective
actions.
Support product quality, performance and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve critical defect issues identified.
Mentor and assist less experienced staff.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years .NET Development experience (C#, VB.NET) 4.0 &
4.5 framework
- Strong ASP.NET experience
- Experience with Windows Services, Web Services, WCF, XML, AJAX,
JQuery and JavaScript
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Application Design and
patterns. -SQL Server 2005, 2008, Stored Procedures, SSRS, SSIS
-DB2, Stored Procedures
- Experience in relational database design -Experience and
understanding of interaction between host and web systems.
- In-depth experience at troubleshooting defect issues and
providing quick turnaround on such issues.
- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills /
English Skills.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented,
collaborative environment.
- Experience working with offshore development and QA teams.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a
high-pressure environment.
- Ability to coordinate and work with teams and users in different
geographical locations.
- Previous experience in mortgage industry, particularly in the
area of Field Services (mortgage property inspections and
preservation order handling), is helpful but not required. We are
