Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring for Production Technician for a
Manufacturing Shop in Santee, CA.As a Production Technician you
will:Performs a wide variety of quality control, test, and
inspection tasksWorks directly with engineers, technicians, machine
shop, and weld shop to ensure timely procurement and availability
of materials including placement and tracking of purchase
ordersDevelop and maintain ongoing plan for procurement of
materials and services required to complete production ordersWork
with shop supervisors to schedule delivery of required materials to
the shop floor as needed to maintain efficient production
workflowsIssue materials and supplies from inventory to authorized
jobs and work orders.Perform accurate inventory counts and report
findings to managementReview production drawings and determine
required inspection procedures for purchased and manufactured
items.Performs receiving inspections of purchased items and interim
inspections of work in processPerforms general shipping and
receiving tasksInspect large electromechanical systems,
environmental monitoring products, machined parts, welded
assemblies, printed circuit assemblies, cable assemblies, and
chassis wiringParticipate in final inspections and factory
acceptance testing prior to shipmentCreates and maintains quality
control reports and records.Recommend preventive and corrective
action.Participate in quality audits.Verify functionality and
conformance to purchase order requirements and supplier published
specifications. Search and review supplier datasheets and customer
furnished drawings as required.Maintain calibration records for
tools and test equipmentThis is a Full-Time Temp-to-Hire
OpportunityThe ideal candidate will have:Minimum of 2 years
electrical or mechanical industry training is preferredTraining as
machinist, welder, or electo-mechanical assembler or Equivalent
military experience including military service will be considered
on individual basis.5+ years experience as senior technician in a
manufacturing setting2 years experience in purchasing and
procurement with direct contact to suppliers2+ years experience in
Quality control or quality assuranceWorking Knowledge of f
industrial materials, components, methods and processes as they are
typically applied in the manufacture of modern electromechanical
systemsWorking knowledge of quality control processes and
procedures applied within a certified ISO 9001 or AS 9100 quality
management systemExperience receiving inspections and verification
of order/supplier shipping detailsExperience performing in-process
and final inspections of EM assemblies, PCBs, and chassis
wiringAbility to read and apply information contained in
engineering specifications, engineering drawings, welding
specifications, bill of material, electrical schematics, and wiring
diagramsProficiency using standard test and measurement
toolsDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
Outlook) is requiredAbility to occasionally travel for fieldwork is
also helpfulMust be at work on-time daily and will work overtime as
requestedBe able to keep a clean and tidy workstationSchedule:
Monday to Friday 1st shift (Flexible)Pay Rate: $25-27 per hour*Pay
range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several
factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work
location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Experience in
